Founded In 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White, Cornell is a private endowed university and the federal land-grant institution of New York State. Cornell Information Technologies (CIT), the host department for this conference, manages nine computer labs, a group of laptops, and over 30 email kiosks scattered around the campus and student living areas, totalling nearly 400 computers.
